Our Mission
Berbera is envisioned as a city of trade, tourism, and opportunity—a peaceful commercial hub open to the world.
Our priority as the people of Berbera is to foster openness, welcome investment, and strengthen global economic partnerships through free trade and social integration. We believe that peace, commerce, and cultural exchange are the foundations of sustainable development. For this reason, we oppose the establishment of military bases in Berbera, as they risk undermining trade, tourism, and community cohesion. We do not support the creation of any foreign military base in Berbera, including by Israel or any other state. As a community, we stand firmly for peace, economic cooperation, and a future defined by trade, not militarization.
